Ato Abraham Mengistie | Carbonic Maceration Natural Lot PR11
Located near the Mele Village in the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia, you can find Ato Abraham Mengiste, and his team from Primrose Coffee. In their first year of applying Carbonic Maceration (CM) techniques, the Koke 'Abraham' Washing Station has produced this incredible lot that we’re excited to share with you!
These coffees were hand picked in local farmers backyards, known as 'Garden Coffee'. The ripeness of the red cherries are measured, and only cherries between 20-22 brix are then processed utilising the special CM technique. This extended fermentation time intensified fruit characters enabling this coffee to shine and express this yellow and orange flavour spectrum that we have grown to love out of Ethiopian coffees.
Think floral and stone fruit aromas, that lead to a juicy, clean, balanced and well-structured cup. With the tasting notes of white peach, starfruit, and sweet orange, you'll definitely enjoy this sweet and transparent cup.
