Eshetu Mergiya Teklegiorgis is a coffee producer in West Arsi, Nansebo Woreeda, Bulga Kebele, Ethiopia. He started farming in 1990 and collects 8,000-10,000 kilos of red cherries annually, from 4.5 hectares, which he processes dry natural using his very own drying station.

Due to a lack of guidance and knowledge on how to enter the international market, Eshetu’s coffee was sold locally until a year ago when he started supplying the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange. Fast forward a year later, during the inaugural Cup of Excellence Ethiopia competition 2020, Eshetu’s Typica scored 89.21 for sixth place.

We are so privileged to be able to share this special lot with you! This exceptional coffee resembles the notes of all the red fruit from strawberry, pomegranate, cranberry and hibiscus. And as it cools it reminiscent of maraschino cherries and the juicy pomegranate is intensified.
