This is our second year working with innovator Felipe, of Finca Gascón. Last year many of you fell in love with his Washed Geisha, and we're happy to announce that this year's harvest is even better!
Felipe's father Gildardo Contreras grew up playing in a backyard full of coffee trees and always aspired to be a farmer himself. He bought Finca Gascon from a relative in 2012, and found that the rich volcanic soil in the high mountains of Antigua were perfect conditions for growing coffee. The farm now 54 hectares, with a wet mill on site is now run by Felipe who continues to focus on innovative processing and introducing new varietals.
The Green-Tip Geisha is a varietal known by it's florality and complexity. This coffee possesses both the delicate floral, yet sweet notes transforming from hot to cold. We got crazy flavours and aromatics of orange blossom, jasmine and bergamot.
