We’re thrilled to share with you the rich legacy of Abu Coffee, a flourishing Geisha and Catuai farm distinguished for its continuous six-year pursuit of excellence, prominently recognized in the esteemed Best of Panama Competition. Situated in the captivating region of Cañas Verdes, Boquete, their coffee trees thrive on the slopes of the Volcán Barú National Park, nestled at an elevation of 1550 meters above sea level. The thriving plantation benefits from fertile volcanic soils and a rich ecosystem, harmoniously intertwined with native trees and local flora and fauna, creating an ideal environment. The strategic geographic location ensures optimal sunlight for the cultivation of our coffee, complemented by the gentle embrace of the 'Bajareque' mist and soft fog, defining our plantation's serene mornings and enchanting sunsets.

Their meticulous harvesting process, spanning from December to March, capitalizes on reduced humidity and the natural shade within the heart of virgin rainforests, nurturing cherries that reach their full potential in this unique environment. Abu Coffee embodies a distinctive character, offering Geisha and Catuai varieties bursting with intense, juicy flavors and aromatic floral notes. Their unwavering commitment to quality pays tribute to the legacy of José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman, a fervent advocate for specialty coffee. The name "ABU" (grandfather in Spanish) symbolizes their homage to his vision, preserving a heritage for future generations.

This specific lot, TN-1928, meticulously curated under the guidance of Producer José Luttrell, features the Catuai variety. Employing a 72-hour anaerobic natural dry process, the cherries undergo meticulous sun-drying on African raised beds for 25 days, resulting in a distinctive flavor profile showcasing notes of passionfruit, kiwi, juicy apricot, cola, cherry, and dark chocolate.
